Billionaire shipping magnate Eric Benirall keeps losing ships in the Bermuda Triangle, so he hires a motley band of experts to uncover the mystery that has haunted the Bermuda Triangle for centuries. The team includes Howard Thomas, a tabloid reporter and cynic who only takes the job to help make his alimony payments; Emily Patterson, a smart no-nonsense engineer; Stan Lathem, a sensitive psychic who intuitively grasps the hidden power of the triangle; Bruce Geller, a thrill-seeking wildman and professor of meteorology; and perhaps most interesting of all, Meeno Paloma, the sole survivor of a wrecked freighter who has returned to discover that reality no longer matches the world he remembers.
